That title makes absolutely no sense.
Allow me to add some perspective
Today we’re talking about Brando shoes.
No, not the heavy load bearing shoes.
Let’s talk about the Australian brand of Italian handmade dress shoes.
This brand has been around now for 20 years or so.
It was an original concept of Rocco Mascitelli (I have a sneaking suspicion he’s Italian) to offer the Australian market a handmade and designed shoe range that was also affordable to the average man.
While not the most cutting edge or exciting designs on the whole, the shoes are beautifully made, with supple leathers that add to the feel and the fit of each pair.
I personally shop for the brand at The Balfour store in Sydney, which also happens to be owned by the Mascitelli’s.
What this means, is that there is usually a healthy range of sample pairs available on the shelf, typically of ranges that haven’t actually made it to full production.
The other added bonus is the majority of these sample pairs happen to be a 42.
To state the bleeding obvious, that’s my size in shoes!
I was going to keep the store a personal secret, but I figured the majority of my Occasional Readers don’t actually live in Australia, let alone Sydney, so letting the cat out of the bag shouldn’t impact on my stock levels too much. That’s right. MY stock levels. They’re mine.
The link is over on the right, as usual.
In the meantime, check out these beautiful new Shoeplex residents.
